The “merenda sinoira” is an afternoon meal that for its richness tend to substitute dinner.
It is an ancient gastronomic Piedmont tradition which usually takes place in festive days. Salami and cheeses reign, any other kind of salty or sweet specialty can complete it…
Light years before the invention of branch (the American breakfast-lunch), the Piedmont afternoon snack-dinner has mingled the temporal criteria of the sitting down at table.

WINE TASTING IN CELLAR
The cellar Cornarea is a historical cellar of Roero, the first which, in the early 70s, has rediscovered an ancient grape variety almost disappeared – Arneis – and has replanted it in the hill also called Cornarea.

The Cornarea cultivates 15 hectares of vineyard of Arneis and of Nebbiolo, all located on the homonymous hill and vinifies its grapes trying to enhance the tradition and quality of its wines, Arneis, Nebbiolo, Roero and Tarasco Passito.
You can taste wines and grappa from the Cornarea Firm with salami and cheeses:
on Tuesday and Wednesday at 11.00
and on Friday at 17.00
