Villa Cornarea has nine rooms, each one different from the other. The rooms are characterized by Liberty style tapestries or decorations and exquisitely decorated with period furniture, always placing careful attention on details.
The rooms are located on each of the three floors of the house. The ones on the first and second floors have ample terraces with a panoramic view from which you can enjoy the splendid sight of the geometric patterns created by the vineyards on the Langa and Roero hills, reaching as far as the Alps.
The swimming-pool has been recently restored, open from June to September.
There are two Suites: the Azure Suite and the Venetian Suite.
The Azure Suite
The bedroom of the original owner, the illustrious lawyer Grillone, has remained the same: the ample vaulted ceiling, decorated with stucco work, the period bed “a barca” and the “Genovese cementine” tiled floor, all recall the beauty and the serenity of the home, taking us back to long ago times, and helping us understand the motto that the lawyer had carved on the villa’s door “in quiete salus”.
The bathroom is fitted with all the modern comforts and a jacuzzi.
The Venetian Suite
Just as elegant, the Venetian Suite has a sumptuous, glazed ceramic chandelier in the centre of its ample vaulted ceiling. The period bed and curtains and the original Canadian Maple wood floor make it warm and welcoming. From the room’s four windows and from the bathroom’s small balcony, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape.
Both Suites have access to the towers’ terrace where, in the summer time, you can sample an aperitif of Arneis wine produced from the grapes of the nearby vineyards. |
